Madame Outdoor Lounge Chair

The architects behind this chair are Nanna Ditzel and her husband Jørgen Ditzel. They designed the Madame chair in 1951 and their experimental approach to materials resulted in the shape of a shell. With its soft and feminine shapes, the name became Madame. The chair is part of Sika-Design's ICONS collection, which consists exclusively of furniture designed by renowned designers. The chair has been available for indoor use for many years and is now also available as a weather-resistant outdoor chair.

What makes the Sika Design Exterior Collection great for your outdoor space?
The Exterior Collection by Sika-Design is made with weatherproof, powder-coated aluminium - Alu-Rattan and ArtFibre®. Alu-Rattan is a type of powder-coated aluminium that imitates rattan and its unique shaping capabilities, and the powder coating enables it to withstand high temperatures and hard wear while the ArtFibre® materials are artificial fibres made of maintenance-free polyethene that is UV and temperature resistant, as well as has a robust structure that can maintain its shape for many years. Each furniture piece in the Exterior Collection is handpainted to look just like natural rattan so you never have to compromise on style or durability.

In addition to the aluminium frame, the lounge chair can also be fitted with Quick Dry Foams in the seat, which comes in many varieties of durable fabric variants hand-sewn in Denmark. The foam cushions are made to order and specially designed as outdoor cushions that can drain water and maximize air circulation into a faster drying process. 

Lastly, the Italian Tempotest cushion fabrics are treated with a special type of finish. During the treatment process, the finish is deposited not only on the surface of the fabric but envelopes each individual fibre. This forms an impenetrable barrier without compromising the fabric's breathability. The HI-Clean finishing makes Tempotest fabrics water and oil-repellent. It is also rot-proof and immune to the formation of mold and fungus.

Maintenance is a breeze with Sika Design's exterior furniture, which does not require any upkeep. It's suitable for year-round outdoor use and is simple to clean. Use a mixture of mild soap and water for regular cleaning.

Order Confirmation:

Once you place your order, we will pre-authorize your card to ensure sufficient funds are available. Your card will not be charged at this point. We will then contact our supplier to confirm if the item is in stock and available for immediate shipment. If confirmed, we will process the payment and dispatch your order right away. In case of any delays, such as an item being on backorder, we will void the pre-authorization and notify you.

Order Delivery:

Upon order placement, assuming the item is in stock, we will charge your card and dispatch your order within 5 working days. You'll receive tracking details via email within 24 hours of dispatch. If you don't receive them within 6 working days, contact us at info@scanditure.com for assistance.

Damages:

Thoroughly inspect all items upon delivery. We advise against accepting delivery of damaged items. If you discover damage, send clear photos to info@scanditure.com so we can file an insurance claim on your behalf.

Return Policy:

Scanditure offers a 7-day return policy for most merchandise. You can exchange your item for a different size or style, or receive a credit note for future purchases.

Return Eligibility:

Items must be in the original condition you received them: unworn, unused, with tags, and in their original packaging.

You'll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

How to initiate a Return:

1. Contact us at info@scanditure.com within 7 days of receiving your purchase.

2. We will send you a return shipping label and instructions on how and where to return your package.

Items sent back without requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues:

Inspect your order upon arrival. If the item is defective, damaged, or incorrect, immediately contact us at info@scanditure.com so we can evaluate the issue and rectify it.

Exceptions/ Non-Returnable Items:

Custom Products: Any items made to your specific order or specifications.

Made-to-Order Items: Items specifically manufactured upon order may not be eligible for return unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Assembled Furniture: Once assembled, furniture is considered used and may not be eligible for return.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges:

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and, once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. 

European Union 14-day Cooling-Off Period:

If the merchandise is being shipped to the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The same conditions apply regarding item condition, packaging, and proof of purchase.

Refunds

We will notify you once we've received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
